Admissions Process

1. Application Forms

Parents are to complete and submit a "Student Application Form" for each child. A non-refundable application fee of $350 must accompany this application.

Before your child enters school, we will need a signed Certificate of Immunization Status and the Family/Medical Information sheet.

2. School Visit

New student who begin school at the beginning of a school year will be invited to take part in an orientation day with other new Chai Tots families.  Students who begin mid-year should arrange a time for a school visit for the parent(s) and child prior to the child's first day of school so as to familiarize the child with his/her new school settings.  One of our staff members will give you a tour of our facility and get to know your individual interests and expectations.

3. Review

This phase occurs after all parts of the application have been received and the student and family visits are completed. Families are kept up to date on the status of each application, especially if teacher recommendations or school records have not been received. For each applicant, the Principal meets with the faculty members who observed the student. The completed application is then discussed with the Admissions Committee.

4. Notification

The last phase of the application process is notification and, if the student is accepted, all admission forms must be submitted and the first non-refundable tuition deposit must be made prior to the child's starting date.

If you need assistance in completing the application, or for any other information, please feel free to contact us.

It is the policy of The Chai Tots Early Childhood Center not to discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, or physical or mental disabilities unrelated to the ability to work or enjoy the benefits of the school’s programs, facilities, or services. Chai Tots accepts applications from anyone who feels a connection to Judaism. Acceptance into Chai Tots is not conditioned on whether the student or his/her parents are Jewish, nor is it a confirmation of such status. Admission to the school is based upon each student’s academic records, personal interviews, observations by our faculty, parent essay questions, teacher recommendations and our admissions testing, and is at the sole discretion of Chai Tots' Board of Directors.

Chai Tots Early Childhood Center reserves the right to dismiss for cause any student whose conduct or influence is deemed unsatisfactory to the school community.
