Dear Parents,
Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful Passover with your family. We missed everyone and are ready to get back to work.
The weather this week fit right into our new theme - Spring. On the rainy day we made a paper plate umbrella which we used while we chanted our rain poem. When it stopped raining we went for a “spring walk” and the students saw the beautiful things that we talked about: how green the grass is, the trees with their new leaves and blossoms. We brought some flowers back to class with us and we looked at them under a magnifying glass. On our way back to school we listened carefully and heard the birds singing.
We made many different flower art projects.
The book we’ve been enjoying this week is called “It’s Raining It’s Pouring” by Kin Eagle.
Now that the warmer weather is here please make sure to change over the extra clothing from the classroom. Please remember to put sunscreen on your child BEFORE school. We will only be reapplying the cream in the afternoon.
