Dear Parents,
We continued talking about the holiday of Rosh Hashanah through art projects, songs and activities.
This week we focused on the theme shofar - a rams horn that is blown on Rosh Hashanah. We used our senses to learn about shofar. The Rabbi came into our class and blew a Shofer, the students listened quietly to the trumpet like sound and then passed it around to each have a turn to feel it.
We looked at pictures of different animals that have horns and learned a few finger plays and songs.
The students enjoyed the treats that they got in honor of Na’ama’s birthday.
