Dear Parents,
Grandparent’s Day was a very special addition to our week. The Bubbies and Zaidies had a chance to see what we do at school and they got to work together with their grandchildren, doing class work and an art project.
The theme in our classroom has been Farm. The students helped name the animals on the farm – chickens, goats, horses, roosters, ducks, dogs, cats and many others. As we learned the different animals we practiced making the different sounds that the animals make. We specifically have been discussing the hens and that the chicken comes from an egg. We also mentioned the horse and what they do at the farm, they pull carriages filled with hay. We saw pictures of different horses, the many different colors and the different parts of their body. The students voted and chose the red horse as their favorite one. A baby horse is called a colt.
We enjoyed making a special treat for our mommies in honor of Mother’s Day.
Happy Mother’s Day!
