Dear Parents,

This week we started to discuss the seasons. In the fall it begins to get cold and we need to wear our hat, scarves and gloves. As the season changes from fall to winter the leaves change colors and fall from the trees. During circle time we danced like leaves swirling and twirling in the air until we finally fell to the floor. We each got a leaf, discussed its color and blew it off of our hand watching it flutter to the ground.

We are enjoying the new works that are out in our classroom. We matched leaves on a flannel board and have been doing many sorting and counting activities.
During outdoor play we searched around the yard for different colored leaves. Using these leaves we made a beautiful art project. We also made a big leaf using the different leaf colors and a golf ball.

Unlike all other trees evergreen trees don’t change colors, they stay green all year round. Though the trees look sad without leaves on their branches we know that they are preparing for the winter season.

Miss Joanie joined us on Wednesday for some great music activities. Happy Birthday Aaron Davidson. We all enjoyed our special Shabbat birthday party.

While you are driving we encourage you to point out the trees with different colored leaves and the piles of leaves on the ground.

If you have not yet returned your school photos please do so!
