Dear Parents,
We have finished discussing the story of Chanukah and have moved on to learning about the Menorah. During circle time we learned how to tell if a menorah is kosher. We looked at pictures of many different kinds of Menorahs and we passed around some real menorahs that Morah Chanah brought for us. We now know the difference between a kosher and non kosher menorah.
Each night of Chanukah we light the candles on the menorah. We discussed the importance of being safe around fire, we are never allowed to touch or get to close to the menorah when it is lit.
We pretended to be latkes hopping up and down in the frying pan and we have gotten really good at being dreidels spinning around.
On Friday we said good bye to Morah Meital and wished her a safe trip back to Israel.
