Jewish Cooks Prepare Dishes in Under 10 Minutes
“Now you can learn great recipes the kosher way, with an original flair!” screams the advertisement for The Jewish Culinary Club at JDiscovery.com.
The Jewish Culinary Club will hold its last class of this year’s 6-class “Royal Cuisine” series. Women of all ages and from various backgrounds will gather in Mason and learn to prepare dishes “in 10 minutes or less.”
Entitled “Delightful Desserts,” the entirely self-contained class will be held Tuesday, October 24th, at 8:00 p.m., and is open to the public. Participants will discover how to generate delicious homemade pies and desserts in under 10 minutes. Chocolate, pecan and lemon are a sampling of desserts on the program.
“The entire community is invited to enjoy a ladies night out with delightful desserts,” announced Vanessa Kurtzer, Co-chair of The Jewish Culinary Club. “This one is especially for all those with a sweet tooth and a love for chocolate.”
Sponsored by The Jewish Discovery Center (www.JDiscovery.com), the 6-part series of classes helps participants learn and practice the techniques and skills to create quick gourmet traditional favorites and delicacies that have graced Jewish tables throughout the ages. Rochel Kalmanson, a renowned chef with a following in the Jewish community, demonstrates her kitchen secrets to create elegant fair “in 10 minutes or less.”
“It is amazing to watch, learn and participate in the process of creating wonderful, tasty dishes,” said Joyce Grad, a participant at the event. “Rochel [Kalmanson] captures our attention with a wonderful and enjoyable evening, inspiring us to feed our family graciously, without the hassle. I am so glad to be a part of it, and am looking forward to the next one.”
Past classes included such topics as, “Scrumptious Salads;” “Fabulous Fish and Recipe Swap;” “Soothing Soups;” “Marvelous Meats and Side Dishes;” and “Primo Pastries.”
A special bonus class for Jewish Culinary Club members only will be held in November.
“What a wonderful opportunity to hang out with other women, kick back and truly enjoy ourselves,” said July Torem, co-chair of The Jewish Culinary Club. “I just love how Rochel is able to manage her time so well, be such a ‘baalabuste’ and always be there to serve our Jewish community. The [Jewish] Discovery Center has created an amazing boon for our community by successfully bringing together Jews from all segments of the Jewish community.”
